SPES grantees plant trees in Magpet watershed
MAGPET, NorthCotabato—Student beneficiaries of the Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES) in the municipal government of Magpet showed their support to the preservation of the environment by planting trees in this town last Monday morning.

Last April 11, 2012. Two young lives from Magpet were suddenly snuffed out because of the dastardly act of heartless criminals. Clyde Shen Himpiso, 11 years old, and her younger brother Allan Himpiso Jr, 5 years old, died when a bomb exploded in a Rural Transit bus (body number 2922 and plate number KVS 740) at the Carmen bus terminal on 10:25 in the morning that day. Their father, Allan Himpiso, Sr. was also wounded in the blast. |
